Závist

Závist je zvláštní vlastnost. Můžu člověka popohánět dál a dál a stejně snadno se může z hnacího motoru změnit na sebevražednou vlastnost, která dokáže člověka absolutně zničit.

Jsem zaměstnán ve státním podniku. Platy máme tabulkové, takže malé – zhruba poloviční, než v soukromém sektoru. Na druhou stranu práce kterou odvádíme většinou velmi odpovídá platovému ohodnocení. Já jsem spokojen. Budu-li chtít víc peněz, půjdu pracovat do soukromého sektoru. Můj plat bude dvojnásobný, ale moje pracovní nasazení se bude muset také zvýšit. Vyhovuje mi to tak, jak to je. Nezávidím soukromníkům víc peněz, protože vím, že se víc nadřou a nezávidím ani ostatním státním zaměstnancům, že se v práci nepřetrhnou, protože si dokážu představit jejich platové ohodnocení.

Zvláštní je, že u nás práci tak polovina podniku stráví třetinu pracovní doby u cigarety a kafe v kuchyňce. Další si v pracovní době hrají různé počítačové hry. Způsob relaxace mých spolupracovníků mezi prácí je velmi rozličný. Já sám nikomu z nich nezávidím jeho relaxaci. Je jen na nich jak si svůj život zařídí.

My jsme si koupili do kanceláře šipky a občas, abychom si protáhli tělo shrbené od počítače, si hodíme šipky. Ani ne po týdnu k nám prosákly zvěsti, že jsem trnem v oku, že si v pracovní době hrajeme šipky a nepracujeme. Nevím, asi provokujeme tím, že máme něco co jiní ne. Ale já zase nekouřím, tak ušetřím denně asi dvě hodiny času, které kuřáci stráví v kuchyňce u cigarety.

Nedokážu pochopit tuto vlastnost, lidskou závist. Zvláštní je, že nikdo z těchto závistivců nepřijde a neřekne svoje výhrady. Vždycky se to je donese mezi ostatními drby. Chápu, že se ozvat nahlas nemůže, protože těžko brojit proti tomu, co sami děláte. Ale potom nechápu, proč jim to teda leží na srdci. Vždyť přeci neděláme nic, co by nedělali i oni.
